Love and Fashion Friday!
TGIF !
This winter has been one of the most interesting on the east coast. There's been the threat of snow every week and of course, the groundhog has dismissed Spring for another six weeks! However, that doesn't mean you have to wait for Spring to start getting a better body and improving your health. Aside from exercise, just a few small changes can make a big impact. Here are three suggestions that can instantly give amazing results:
1. Get a good night's rest. The body needs an average of eight hours sleep to help function at its highest potential. Not getting enough rest diminishes your focus and shows signs of aging. Ensuring enough shut eye helps the body repair itself, gives you energy and help stabilize your metabolism.
2. Chug, chug, chug...water that is! It's recommended to drink 8 - 10 glasses to hydrate and renew the body. If you're looking for the fountain of youth, this is your best bet! If you're not a fan with the lack of taste, you can make spa water with fruit (look up ideas on Pinterest) or add a squirt of liquid water enhancer to give it flavor. My favorite water? Coconut water! It hydrates, has electrolytes and potassium. Also, remember fruit and vegetables naturally contain water and add to your water intake!
3. Wear bright colors or try a new shade of lipstick. Warm and bright colors can mentally make you feel better while it's grey and dreary outside. Wearing a a bright scarf, necklace and shoes perks up your skin tone and makes you look happy. Even a new makeup palette in bright tones (think orange/pink/pearl) can give life to your eyes and lips.
What are you doing now to get ready for Spring and the warm weather? I hope that you push to meet your goals and share your success with others!
